Researchers at Florida State University are conducting a study on Mental Health Literacy, and would greatly appreciate your participation. Mental Health Literacy refers to knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders which aid in their recognition, management or prevention; we hope that the results from this study will shed light on important diagnostic issues in the field. The study can be completed on-line and should take less than 20 minutes. Also, participants will be entered into a lottery-style drawing for the chance to win one of three $50 American Express Gift Cards.
Please go to the following link to complete the study: http://watson.psy.fsu.edu/~joinerweb/pmh/
You must be
21-years or older and have at least a Master's degree or its equivalent in a
mental health service provision field to participate in the study.
We are incredibly grateful for your help.
April Smith, M.S. Tracy Witte, M.S.

As anyone doing on-line survey research (without the use of undergraduates) knows, participant recruitment can be incredibly tough! I would just like to say that I am incredibly grateful to those who can spare the time to help us out with this research project by completing this short survey.
Thanks, again.

I know that the amount of solicitations we get asking us to complete online surveys can be overwhelming, but I encourage all clinicians to think about participating in research like this because it is one way to enact the scientist-practitioner ideal. Said differently, even if you aren't conducting original research, participating in research studies that examine clinically-relevant issues can be a way to stay "involved" with research that will ultimately help you and your patients.
