I posted something along these lines on Facebook itself, but wanted to take one more shot at clarifying this deal. Facebook has shifted the way that people receive news items on their page. If you see a "like" button on a web page, new content from that page then will appear in your newsfeed when it is is published. This will essentially take the place of the fan and group pages. In an effort to keep up with the times, I've installed a "like" button on this page and hope that the 1,000 or so folks in the group and fan pages will migrate over to that. Typepad is supposedly going to be coming out with a number of tools in the coming months that will enable me to enhance that experience, so I'm hopeful that this will become a fun part of the site.
If you click on the "like" button, which you can find in the middle of the page, right below the search bar, new PBB posts will be published to your newsfeed on Facebook as soon as I put them up on the web. If that gets annoying, you will easily be able to hide those updates, but this way those of you who might want to have simple access to updates can have them. We'll see how this goes. In the meantime, thanks as always for reading, sharing your comments, and spreading the word about PBB and the importance of science in mental health.
